Sweater 2 Shrug
We knew for $1.00 we could make something work. I started by having her try it on and marked the length that we wanted. Keep in mind the hem, and cut off the bottom. Next fold your sweater in half and mark the middle of the front where you will want to cut it.

Grocery Flash Cards
Okay so I started out using Picnik. I took a picture i had already saved on there and just changed the exposure. I turned the picture white. I did have to make a few changes using the clone button but i have done this for other things and had one saved. You can use word or any other program your familiar with.
I kept it simple for the cover. I just added font and tried a few different covers.
This is a picture of my magazine showing the cute cards. I loved how they did a letter and a bunch of fruits and veggies that started with that letter but as i was thinking of stuff to use i kept getting stumped. I figured i would keep it simple for my almost 2 year old and do 1 picture for each letter. Below are some of my cards I made up quickly.
I was only able to do part of the cards cause my husband and i got stumped on F, H, Q, U, V, X, and Z
This is what i have so far and tomorrow i will make it a little bit more sturdy and add colored cardstock but since the move I'm still unpacking and cant find some of my craft stuff. I will add a different color to the back of each picture. Also I’m going to take out the second ring. As we kept printing each letter and putting them on the second ring was just in the way.
This is a work in progress and i need some help thinking of things to add for those other letters. Any suggestions?

Kids Art Shirt
I had bought some material a long time ago so i just used that. I know this shirt is going to be covered in paint and markers and glue so i didn't want to spend a lot.
I just printed an “I” on a piece of paper and used that as a guide
I just laid the material on the outside and sewed around the edges. It looks rough and like a 3 year old sewed it but hey it works and it will look so cute on my little guy.
I hope my sons shirt that took me a total of what 5 min to make gives you some good ideas on what NOT to do. I would love to hear how you would decorate an art shirt. Maybe give me some better ideas for the next one!

♣ Pinch Proof ♣
Have you noticed the fun bleach t-shirts that are out in blogger land? Well I have and I have been Dying to try them! So with the up coming pinching holiday in store, Miss A needed a Pinch Proof ensemble! Of course I had to add a little clover too, just to spice it up!
Items Needed:
- Bleach Pen ( The dollar store even has them!)
- T- Shirt
- Fabric
- Wonder Under
To start out you will want to write on your shirt with your bleach pen, I choose lucky in hopes that Miss A could wear it for more then just St. Patty’s Day. I also was thinking “Pinch Proof” and “Pinch me, I double dare you” were fun to! I grabbed a washable marker and wrote out Lucky on my shirt so I could draw over it with the bleach pen.As you can see the K got a little too much bleach, beginner mistake! While your Bleach is taking action work on your wonder under clover. Simply iron on the wonder under to the back of your material (if you haven't ever used it, you will love it!).
Then draw your pattern on and cut out!
Once you are done with the wonder under go wash out your bleach. I washed my shirt after this also and when it comes out of the dryer it is time to finish up! Simply iron on your clover on and you can stitch around it (I have heard you don't have to but I like extra insurance!).
Then sit back and enjoy your completely custom new “Lucky” Shirt!
I also couldn't resist and had to make a few hair clips to add to the pig tails!
For future bleach shirts I will make sure it all goes on even and stays on the same amount of time. I have some more fun things in store with these, your gonna have to stick around and see!!

ME a service project
Away from the "M" that makes up ME'
And then each day a good deed do
To someone for the day is through.
That says to them "I care so much"
Then I connect the "M" and "E"
To show I've given part of "ME".
Me of the the Savior of Mankind.
For he may say in days to be"fear not,
though didst them unto me."
Because I've served with love that's real.
So all the time (it's the key)
I'll give a Little part of ME.

Homemade Canvas
Canvas art is huge right now. If you have gone to the craft stores you will know that a blank canvas is quite expensive. I wanted to make a few things with them but i just couldn't get myself to spend that much on something so simple. My husband said he would help me make our own. I have a cute project i want to do with a canvas so i thought i would show you how my husband and i saved money and make our own.
I bought a 1x2 inch wood slat from the hardware store for $1.50
I cut them in 2’ strips and since i don’t have the tools to cut it at a 45 degree angle i just squared them up.
I used a staple gun to hold the wood together. I stapled them on the front and sides.
I wanted a smooth material that is a little heavier so i used a white “blackout” material. The last time i bought this i got like 4 yards but this time Kori was at the fabric store and saw a scrap piece and grabbed it for me. Even though i only used half of what she bought i still paid $5 so its a little more but It is so worth it if you plan to paint or draw on it. I laid out the material and made sure i had enough to fold over on each side. I did Iron out the material before i stapled it down. This is the last chance you will get.
I have tried the corners a few different ways and this is my favorite it requires no cutting and has clean folds. I just hold the top and the side at the same time and bring them over to the top to staple them together.
There is only 2 small creases but you should only see 1 when its hanging on the wall.
Well this is my finished 2’x2’ blank canvas. I bought 1 more wood slat and made 2 and spent just over $8
Stay tuned cause i have a fun project planned for this canvas.
